Community Events - Week 1

Kowhai Festival -Free fun day for children at Warkworth & District Museum.
Sunday 13th October 2013 from 10.00
The Big Shed will be open and many of the engines tractors and other vintage machinery will be operating including a eighty year old hay baler baling hay, and some of the engines and machines are ninety to one hundred years old .
Free Events
Fancy dress competition               “Colonial style”  age groups  4 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years.
Sand saucer competition                  Age groups 4 to 7 years and 8 to 12 years. Entries must be submitted by 12 noon.
Making peg dolls & Posies, materials supplied free and children shown how to make them.
Museum treasure Hunt.  Find the Kiwis in the Museum, prizes for boy & girl winners.
Other things to do
Pony rides.  $1
Make your own Lollypops with the “Candy Man” $3.
Sausage sizzle.
Tea, Coffee & refreshments available.
Ice cream ice blocks & soft drinks.
Children's second hand book & toy sale.
Free Guide Brochures available at the museum entrance for the bush walks .

Monday and Thursdays @6.15-7.00

Warkworth Kea Club  
Our Year 3 Keas have moved up to Cubs so we have room for Years 1 and 2 boys and girls wanting to start their Scouting adventure.
Fridays 4.45 till 5.45 pm at the Scout Den.    Contact Toby 425-5010.

5-6 years @3.30 – 4.00
7-8 years @4.00 – 4.30
Cost $20pp
For Teams (5-7 players)
9-11 years @5.00 - 7.00
12-14 years @ 5.00 -7.00
Cost $190 per team
