From The Principal Term 4 Week 7

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Friends,

It has been wonderful to have completed three Honouring Assemblies. These are very formative in our children and in our school.

They are formative for our learners because
-they are encouraged about their uniqueness and significance
-they are hearing what we as staff, parents and peers value
-they are realizing that the school and the family work together

They are formative for our school because they are the expression of our intention to increasingly work in partnership with our families - parents and caregivers, grandparents and others.

We want to work closely with you, so:
Please make the most of opportunities this year to
-tell us about how your child learns best through either the paper questionnaire received at assembly last week, the online questionnaire below, drawing and writing notes or by talking it through with me or your child's teacher. Whatever works for you, we really want to hear from every parent.

-please mention or email to me any critique or suggestions of ways we can improve systems, communication or practices in 2014. As a staff we are involved in reflection and planning next week based on what we believe needs to change next.

Please also make it a priority to attend
-our production on Friday
-our school picnic on Thursday 12th
-our Prizegiving on Friday 13th

We have a lot to enjoy and celebrate as this year comes to an end.

Thanks in anticipation of a strong finish as a community that sets us up for greater success into 2014.
