Starting Your Season Strong – Sports Coaching Training
GACU (Greater Auckland Coaching Unit) will be running this workshop;
 VENUE:                     CTC Hauora Trust building – 72 School Road,   
                                  Wellsford
DATE:                        Tuesday 15 April 2014
TIME:                         6.30pm – 8pm (followed by supper)
COST:                        $10
FACILITATOR:           Dave Keelty There is so much to cover at the beginning of your season, how do you know where to start?
This workshop will cover the most important aspects of the beginning of your season,
1) Planning for the season 
2) Getting your team culture right.

We will look at how you break down your sport so you don't try to cover everything at once.
We will also look at building your team based on common goals and values so everyone is on the same page.

Leigh Carnival - April 20, Easter Sunday. 9am-2pm.
 An old-fashioned country style Easter fete.  Please support this Leigh School Fundraiser - there’s something for everyone!

For kids the activities include an Easter egg hunt hosted by the Easter Bunny, old time games including a coconut shy, egg & spoon race and sack races, plus bouncy castles, the ‘Terminator’ and fun-fair styled rides.

For adults the options range from the fine wine auction;, to fresh fish, oyster, smoked fish & crayfish quick-fire raffles; an amazing silent auction and excellent local food including Leigh snapper burgers, lamb baps & half shell oysters plus home baking & great coffee.

UNI HOCKEY - Saturday mornings, Year 1 & 2
Mahurangi Junior Hockey Club is running Uni Hockey weekly games for year 0-2. These will be held at Shoesmith Domain Warkworth 8.30am Saturday mornings in the 2nd term. The session is made up of a combination of skill games, then followed by a hockey game with plastic sticks and balls. No practises, just Saturday play. If you are interested in joining please contact sandratom@xtra.co.nz for a registration form.

Toy Library
The Snells Beach Toy Library is now open during term time on Thursdays 9.30-11am. It is now located off the gravel car park at the rear of the Snells Beach Baptist Church and access to the building is pram friendly!

The cost is $25 per term or $90 for the whole year. Join now and pay for next term and get the rest of this term for free! Great local resource in the community for parents and grandparents! Why buy expensive toys when you can borrow them! Toys are suitable for 3 months - 6yrs.
