Friendly Reminder about Friday
School Assemblies
It
has been brought to our attention that some new parents may not be aware of our
weekly school assembly held every Friday morning at 9:10am in the Church
auditorium.
Assemblies are followed by a special morning
tea for parents and visitors. All are
welcome to come along.

Role Play Writing and Art with Lynn Williams
This will start next Wednesday after school - 3.00-4.00pm in the MCS Library
$8 per session
Everyone welcome, especially reluctant writers, who
will develop the ability to tell stories orally. Dyslexia is no barrier to
enjoyment of the workshop.
Please email principal@mahu.school.nz if you are interested in attending, or
phone Lynn on 021616966 for further information.
Lost Property
We have accumulated a large amount of
lost property in the office. There are dishes (we suspect from camp), shoes,
clothing, sports equipment etc. Please take a moment to have a look through or
ask your child to look if any belongs to them.
Head lice
We have had notification about some of
our children having head lice. Please check your children and take the
necessary action if your children with them also.
Uniform Update
Unfortunately our uniform supplier has informed us that there is
a further delay in supplying the order that we sent them in early February. We
have been advised that our order should be here at the end of May. In
particular there have been difficulties in supplying our skorts/shorts and
polar fleeces. There are valid reasons for the delays and our supplier is
hopeful that we will not have a long wait like this again!
Trousers
Please advise the school office if you need to order black
trousers that can be worn with the uniform in the winter (terms 2 & 3).
These trousers are $40 a pair and we will order them on an as needed basis (so
they will not be held in stock). The preference was for the trousers to
be the same sand colour as the current skorts and shorts but we have not been
able to source a supplier who can supply the sand colour in small quantities
but our current supplier can provide the black trousers on an as required
basis.
