Zoo Trip
Rooms 1 & 2 and Year
4’s are going to the zoo on Wednesday next week. Please see the separate notice
sent home with your child today for details. Our apologies for the late notice.
Organisation for this trip was disrupted because Mrs Holdsworth had to suddenly
head home to South Africa.
Soccer/Hockey
Years 5 to 8 will be taking part in the Interschool
Soccer/Hockey on Wednesday 11th June.
Forms should be in your child’s bag today with all details.
Naming Uniforms
Could you please check
the name in your child’s polar fleece as we have a small uniform mystery? In
some of the classrooms there are unnamed polar fleeces that are not being
claimed and yet some children who have named polar fleeces are unable to find
them. Ah hah! We thought maybe some
children have the wrong polar fleeces. Please double check and see if we can
solve our mystery. Thanks.
Library Working Bee
Success
Thank you very much to the Shires, Hewett, Kimber,
Carstensen, Townsend and Franks families who donated
their Saturday morning to help deconstructing the library. With
all your help it certainly made the day successful. We are so privileged
to have such support at our school.
If you missed this working bee we will be having another to
reconstruct the library toward the end of this month. Watch this space!
Uniforms
We now have a stock of
most uniform items. Size 4 Polar fleeces and some skort sizes are not yet
available but should be here within a couple of weeks. Please remember that
trousers are ordered in as required and they cost $40.
Parents Group: Fundraising and Social Events
Mahurangi Christian
School Parents Group will be meeting next Tuesday after school to discuss
fundraising and social events. We would love you to join us.
Buses
As of Monday 9th
June the MCS morning bus (Bus 8) will be leaving Mahurangi College 5 minutes
early, so if your child catches the bus please adjust your schedules to ensure
your child is at Mahurangi College by 8.25.
Friday School Assemblies
It
has been brought to our attention that some new parents may not be aware of our
weekly school assembly held every Friday morning at 9:10am in the Church
auditorium.
Assemblies are followed by a special morning
tea for parents and visitors. All are
welcome to come along.

Order forms
will be sent home today. Order forms will also be available online later
this week. Please return order forms and payment in a sealed envelope to your
child's teacher before School Assembly on Friday.
Role Play Writing and Art with Lynn Williams
This will start next Wednesday after school - 3.00-4.00pm in the MCS Library
$8 per session
Everyone welcome, especially reluctant writers, who
will develop the ability to tell stories orally. Dyslexia is no barrier to
enjoyment of the workshop.
