Upcoming Soup n Science and ICT Evening
On Wednesday 16th April we will be holding an important evening for all school families.
On the previous Monday 14th April you will be asked to send either vegetables or meat or bread suitable for the children to make dinner for our school families: Primarily soup and bread.

5.00 - 6.00ish: Dinner prepared by your children
6.00ish - 7.30: Hands-on workshops as below

1. How to engage with your child's learning through technology. This is important - you need to be here  so we can step you through a few processes and you are not left behind!
2. How we are developing wonder, awe and scientific dispositions and understandings at school, and how you can come along for the ride. Again, this new approach will put a skip in your step as a parent.

Please make this date a priority.

Scholarship/Sponsorship
Due to the wonderful support of a number of people in the community whose children do not attend the school, the Board of Trustees, the Board of Proprietors and members of the Snells Beach Baptist Church, we are delighted to report that we have a number of children sponsored or part sponsored, and that there is now more funding available. Thank you to those generous individuals and groups. Please spread the news that scholarships and part sponsorships are available at MCS.

Vision and Hearing Testing
The vision and hearing technician will be visiting us on the 17th April. She will be testing:
·          New entrants who have not had a B4 School hearing & vision test
·          Children who are new to the school who have not been tested in New Zealand
Children do not need to be tested if they have completed the B4 School Check Hearing and Vision Tests.

Headlice
Please check your child for headlice as we have had reports of infestations since camp.

As we all know headlice are hard to control, but we as a small community are in a position to do it. Let’s make Tuesdays check for headlice day. If we all check and treat we can beat this thing.
