From the Principal Week 7 Term 2 2014

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Friends,

Last week we had an exciting Vision Evening at Mahurangi Christian School.

We are very blessed to have such a positive, visionary, professional, faith-filled and creative group of people working at all levels in our school.

Governance, management and staff are focused on the future, and together we outlined the following priorities:

1. Being an increasingly educationally progressive Christian school that provides real life, project-based learning that engages learners by genuinely connecting with them and their world, and that has a sense of mission.

2. Exploring the possibility with the Proprietors, and if given the go-ahead, the local schools and community and the Ministry of Education, of providing secondary education at Mahurangi Christian School.

3. Exploring the possibility with the Proprietors of rebranding our school with a new name and new logo.

Our learners will be engaged in the process of imagining and brainstorming and suggesting to the Board and Proprietors what their ideal learning environment might look like, and what names and logo ideas they might have.

This is a very exciting time for our school.

We have a sense of God’s presence, and a unified vision for exploring what the future might look like.

Thanks
Helen Pearson
