Week 5, Term 1

Term One Week Five
3rd March 2015

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Friends,

This week we have our Family Picnic on Thursday evening (5th March) from 5.30 – 7.00.

Research clearly shows that the interest in, and understanding of, what a child is learning at school is significant in positively affecting a child’s attitude to learning and progress, and therefore the outcomes of that learning.

Come along and help us to help your children feel supported in their goals and proud of their progress.

5.30 Bring a picnic. Some sausages will be available for $2 each at 6pm for those who have ordered them before 5.45.
6.15- Discussing how we can engage our children in talking about their learning
6.35 - Into classrooms to have children show their parents their learning goals and portfolios and work done so far - meet with the teachers informally
7.00 – Home time

Please make this a priority. It is our hope and expectation that all families will attend. Please give your apologies if you are unable to do so.

Swimming and Sport
The children have been enjoying their Thursday afternoons at Snells Beach.  This week it will be sports only.

Your child will need sun hat, sunscreen, lunch, drink bottle every Thursday. On Swimming days they will also need togs, towel, and a bag for wet clothes.

Thursday 5 March - Sports only
Thursday 12 March - Swimming and Sports
Thursday 19 March - Sports only
